Komla D. Dzigbede is an associate professor and Chair of the Department of Public Administration at the State University of New York at Binghamton. Komla is an expert in state and local public finance and international economic policy. His research is of high value to local, state, and national governments and spans a variety of topics, including debt issuance, debt refinancing, budget system effectiveness, tax reform, financial market regulation, and sustainable economic development. Komla has extensive experience in the international public sector from his prior work as an economist at the Central Bank of Ghana and as a consultant for an international development agency. He has bachelor's and master's degrees in economics from the University of Ghana and a doctorate in public policy from the Georgia State University, United States.
