Prof. Komla Dzigbede

Komla D. Dzigbede is an associate professor and Chair of the Department of Public Administration at the State University of New York at Binghamton. Komla is an expert in state and local public finance and international economic policy. His research is of high value to local, state, and national governments and spans a variety of topics, including debt issuance, debt refinancing, budget system effectiveness, tax reform, financial market regulation, and sustainable economic development. Komla has extensive experience in the international public sector from his prior work as an economist at the Central Bank of Ghana and as a consultant for an international development agency. He has bachelor's and master's degrees in economics from the University of Ghana and a doctorate in public policy from the Georgia State University, United States. Komla is the editor-in-chief of the Public Finance & Management Journal.

Given his background, Prof. Dzigbede's experise is highly relevant to the company's mandate and Ghana's cocoa sector at large, particularly in the areas of financial planning, sustainable development, and economic policy design for cocoa farming communities.

His understanding of tax systems, budget efficiency, and debt strategies can support the company's financial health as well the efforts to improve financial inclusion and long-term planning for cocoa farmers.
